Guest Blogging Versus Pay for Links

When writing down about SEO tactics I must say the first thing that strikes my mind is Guest Blogging. A term that is used pretty well these days, in the recent trend it has been like everyone is doing guest blogging as a necessary thing to get ranking in the Google search results. But my question is how does should one differentiate between authentic guest blogging and pay for link.

According to Matt Cutts, Google makes the distinction between Guest Blogging and Pay for Links in various methods. In fact there lies many fold differences, some of them are:
  • Firstly, in all the Pay for Links method the posts are mainly off-top, without having any relevance between the blog and the article written for the blog.
  • Secondly, these articles are posted in irrelevant blogs and however do not match the subject of the blog.
  • Thirdly, these irrelevant blogs do drop in keywords in the author’s bio. In short they have keyword rich anchor text.
However in comparison to this is the original guest blog which have the following characteristics:
  • Firstly, a relevant blog site to post his or her blog
  • Secondly, an expert will be writing the blog
  • Thirdly, having at some paragraph the details of the person writing the blog
However it can be concluded that any genuine guest blog will have an original and unique content with an apt blog to be posted. This entire process of guest blogging is rising in number and at the same time is decreasing in quality. However you must be sure that your blogging process should not become monotonous and hence decrease the quality of the content, since this is where the difference lies between the authentic and a duplicate one. Hence if anyone is continuously posting irrelevant content on blogs then this is not the correct method to build reputation for your website. To know more refer to the following video.

Android 4.4 Kitkat Invention - Reviewed By The Design Boyz

The most recent invention of Google is the introduction of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which was initially designed for tablets but has now being shifted to phones. Prior to this Google had launched no other mature operating system. Yes, there were certain modifications done on these applications but no invention as such. However one such re invents of design or core features is the Android 4.4 KitKat. This is a new trend that continues to ad up refinements, though not as good as is expected.

It has been a general trend that Google always introduces a new version of Android along side with a new Nexus device. However this time a new Nexus 5 has been developed, with the purest, least skinned version of Android, which includes more of Google’s entire ecosystem than ever before. This Android 4.4 KitKat version has thrown effect on almost all the aspects of mobile device.

As far as the design and presentation is concerned, then throughout the OS, Android with 4.4 KitKat version look cleaner and brighter. It now demonstrates more of a cleaner picture, thus eliminating the majority of the blue color that once defined Android’s look and feel. Google has now even switched its technique of handling the translucency throughout the OS, accordingly substituting the black overlays with a semi-transparent white base. The overall effect is that the OS now feels less robotic. With the update of Android with 4.4 KitKat Hangouts also gets a huge update. Finally assimilating both SMS and MMS with everything else that it is offered. Indeed, it substitutes the default Messaging app from the core of Android completely, yet you’ll be able to download a third-party SMS app and use that as an alternative.

With Android 4.4 Kitkat, its uniqueness lies in its refine and polish nature. Beginning from the launcher to the apps, everything has a better approach and feeling. It can be considered that this is the best change in the Google system and the most revolutionized invention. This has resulted in the enhancement of the Android system in every possible manner. In fact it can be concluded that if one is investing in Google's ecosystem and services, the Android with 4.4 KitKat is simply the most strikingly good operating system.

Mugshots – A New Algorithmic Update

Another important update by Google has been released as an Algorithm update and not any Panda or Penguin Update. This is a combat to make the mugshot websites form ranking high in the ranking data by Google.

The mugshot web sites work in a different process altogether. These websites usually pick up arrest details and snaps from several government web sites. This is the data which is then used to create landing pages which rank high in the search engines, like Google, Bing, and so on. Whenever a person searches for his/her name and is encountered with such results, there is a trend to even pay for it and hence remove it. The web sites charges to remove the page. This is a crucial stage which was becoming more contagious among the web world. However this recent update was furnished to put an end to all such illegitimate processes.

Nevertheless Google has talked about working harder on these websites and make this Mugshot Extortion Racket a failure. Google has been working on its algorithm process in order to address this overall issue in a consistent way.

The article in the NY Times has established this fact that this algorithmic update of Google will be a concern for all the mugshots websites. Some of the listed and impacted sites are namely:
  • Mugshots
  • BustedMugshots
  • JustMugshots
Consequently, this method of Google will help out many people to have a better sleep, hence confirming this method to be a success.

PHP – An Integral Part of Scripting

Originally created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1995. PHP originally stands for Personal Home Page but now it stands for Hypertext Preprocessor. PHP is a server-side scripting language designed for web development but also used as a general-purpose programming language. There are three main areas where PHP scripts are used.
  • Server-side scripting. This is the most traditional and main target field for PHP. You need three things to make this work. The PHP parser (CGI or server module), a web server and a web browser. You need to run the web server, with a connected PHP installation. You can access the PHP program output with a web browser, viewing the PHP page through the server. All these can run on your home machine if you are just experimenting with PHP programming.
  • Command line scripting. You can make a PHP script to run it without any server or browser. You only need the PHP parser to use it this way. This type of usage is ideal for scripts regularly executed using cron (on *nix or Linux) or Task Scheduler (on Windows). These scripts can also be used for simple text processing tasks.
  • Writing desktop applications. PHP is probably not the very best language to create a desktop application with a graphical user interface, but if you know PHP very well, and would like to use some advanced PHP features in your client-side applications you can also use PHP-GTK to write such programs. You also have the ability to write cross-platform applications this way. PHP-GTK is an extension to PHP, not available in the main distribution.

PHP allows developers to write extensions in C to add functionality to the PHP language. These can then be compiled into PHP or loaded dynamically at runtime. PHP allows you to interact with your visitors in ways HTML alone can't. This can mean simple things like e-mail forms or more elaborate things like shopping carts that save your past orders and recommend similar products. PHP is a lot easier to get started with than you might think. By learning just a few simple functions, you are able to do a lot of things with your website. PHP is not a proper web standard - but an open-source technology. PHP is neither real programming language - but PHP lets you use so-called scripting in your documents. To describe what a PHP page is, you could say that it is a file with the extension .php that contains a combination of HTML tags and scripts that run on a web server.

Scamming – A Process of Tricking

By focusing on providing the best user experience possible, Google has earned a trusted brand name. Unfortunately, unscrupulous people sometimes try to use the Google brand to scam and defraud others. I am giving some of the example scams.

Scam
SCAM
You find a cheap car online, and the seller claims that for your protection the purchase will be completed via Google Wallet. The car price is "too good to be true" and the seller claims a need to sell the car quickly because he or she is moving, moving out of the country, being called for military service, getting a divorce, etc. The reality is that there is no car, and you won’t be using Google Wallet. Instead, the seller will send you an invoice that appears to be from Google Wallet, but will instruct you to make the payment via Western Union, Moneygram or bank transfer. A legitimate Google Wallet transaction will require that you sign in to your Google Account and execute the payment using the Google Wallet interface. Google Wallet does not accept wire transfers/bank transfers or payments via Western Union/Money Gram, nor does it use any escrow type of payment. This is a kind of Google Wallet purchase scam.

You receive an email claiming that you've won a Google Lottery and are asked for personal details. You may also be asked to pay a fee to release the funds (such as a money release fee, currency exchange, etc.).Google doesn't run lotteries, and your email address hasn't been selected to win a prize. Do not reply back with your personal details. This is a kind of Google Lotto scam.

Google never guarantees top placement in search results or AdWords. Beware of any company making these types of promises.

Last week there was the news of NZ Herald that A Company is changing its name tree times in three weeks. And an employee of that company claims says that she was forced to make at least 100 cold calls a day to sell advertising to unsuspecting businesses. Solly Mamea also claims she was never paid for her stint at Google Directory, and became suspicious of her employer when she was told to change the name of the company when speaking to potential customers.

Both police and Google are now investigating Auckland-based Company Google Directory, which launched last month, and lists more than 100,000 businesses and state agencies across New Zealand. Company director Simon McLeod went to ground after the Herald approached him. He initially said he would answer questions about Google Directory by email, but has not responded, answered his phone or returned calls since.

Police were investigating the company and said “We are still evaluating whether this is criminal activity or a scam or a mix of both, and where we're going to go from here," said Detective Senior Sergeant Aaron Pascoe.

Be safe, keep reading….

Little Bit About WordPress

Wordpress is an Open source CMS (Content Management System) which is often used as a blog publishing application powered by PHP and MySQL and is run on a web Hosting Services and licensed under the GPLv2.Wordpress is currently one of the most popular blogging system on Web. It started on 27 May 2003 by founders Matt Mullenweg and MikeLittle as a fork of b2/cafelog s with a single bit of code to enhance the typography of everyday writing and with fewer users that you can count on your fingers. Wordpress is fresh software, but its roots and development go back to 2001.

WordPress
Little about WordPress
The latest WordPress version is 3.6 which is live to the world and includes a beautiful new blog-centric theme, bullet-proof autosave and post locking, a revamped revision browser , native support for audio and video embeds, and improved integrations with Spotify, Rdio, and SoundCloud. This new version is also called “Oscar” in honor of the great jazz pianist Oscar Peterson. The great Oscar Emmanuel Peterson is considered to have been one of the greatest jazz pianists of all time, having played thousands of live concerts to audiences worldwide in a career lasting more than 60 years.

Some of the new features of this new version are firstly the menu editing is much easier to use, secondly you will get a new Twenty thirteen theme which is inspired by modern art focuses on the content with colors and is designed by media-rich blogging, thirdly it is built-in HTML5 media player for native audio and video embeds with no reliance on external services, and many more. Fourthly Post Locking and Augmented Autosave will especially be a boon to sites where more than a single author is working on a post. Each author now has their own autosave stream, which stores things locally as well as on the server (so much harder to lose something) and there’s an interface for taking over editing of a post, as demonstrated beautifully by our bearded buddies in the video above. And last but not the least Revamped Revisions save every change and the new interface allows you to scroll easily through changes to see line-by-line who changed what and when.

5 Alternatives to Google Glass

Do you know about Google Glass? You may know about it, Google Glass or styled "GLΛSS” is a wearable computer with an optical head-mounted display (OHMD) that is being developed by Google in the Project Glass, with the mission of producing a mass-market ubiquitous computer. Google Glass displays information in smart phones like hands-free format that can interact with the Internet via natural language voice commands. Google Glass wearers can take pictures and video, surf the web and anything else you can imagine. It’s a marvel of technology.

So, move over on Google. Here are five alternatives to Google Glass.

1. GlassUp:- The GlassUp eyeglasses actually look like glasses and report the incoming e-mails, text messages, tweets, Facebook updates, and other messages, so that the user can keep abreast on what is going on in this big world. They work via a Bluetooth connection and a set of apps (Android, iOS, hopefully Windows), depending on the mobile platform and the message you want to receive, so you must have your mobile with you. They don’t feature a camera. And, finally, they’re going to cost a lot less than Google Glass – $399 compared to $1,500. Best of all, the field of view will be in the center, as opposed to near the top right of your field of vision. These weight around 65 grams, it use Android OS. One day of battery life recharge via mini-usb .

2. Telepathy One:- The Telepathy One is actually sleek and futuristic unlike all the others mentioned over here. Telepathy Inc. and Hakuhodo DY Media are Partners, Inc. has agreed to business cooperation in research and development of communication services using wearable devices. It does pretty much everything the same as the other heads-up displays. It can take video and pictures and can wirelessly connect to your Smartphone via Bluetooth. Most interesting, however, is the virtual 5-inch display that superimposes video and computer images directly in front of your face. No release date has been announced yet, but the company hopes that it it’s available in 2013.

3. Innovega iOptik Contacts:- Innovega and its strategic partners are designing natural eyewear-based platforms based on the patented iOptik. The accelerating performance of mobile devices together with availability of HD and 3D content are catalysts for new and compelling user experiences. National Science Foundation to develop augmented reality contact lenses for soldiers to wear in the field. These contacts basically overlay computer-generated images over real-world environments. The company is looking to develop contacts for civilian use by 2014 or 2015. 4.

4. Vergence Labs’ Epiphany Eyewear:- At first glance these glasses appear to be just another pair of stylish shades, but underneath is powerful mini-computer. Slide your right finger across the smooth soft-touch side until you feel the tactile Epiphany Eyewear button, and gently press against your temple to turn the computer on. To instantly activate the tinting of your "electric-powered" sunglasses, simply push the front-left-frame button. This product is available now for preorder in either 8, 16 or 32 GB. The power of technology finally meets the refinement of stylish design with Epiphany Eyewear. They are capable of snapping and capturing 720pm, has 10 processing cores and even features on-board storage. Fours layers of AR anti-reflective coating complement another four layers of UV protection and the two layers of polarizer sandwich around a layer of conductive film and optically transparent liquid crystal; combined together these surprisingly thin and powerful eleven layers provide a higher quality, tighter control, enhanced clarity and better protection for your eyes than any other sunglasses in the world.

5. Recon Jet:- The Recon Jet was built for people that live an active lifestyle. Recon Jet weighs only 60 grams, perfectly balanced for absolute comfort during activity. Not only are these glasses sporty, they’re rugged, lightweight and have polarized lenses. Athlete tested display placement for optimal readability in all lighting conditions. As for the tech side, the Jet can connect to a Smartphone and wifi. Optical touch sensor functions perfectly in all conditions, including rain, snow, sleet and sun. Gloves on? No problem. High-quality, polarized performance optics for protection from glare in all conditions. It runs the Android 4.2 OS, contains a dual-core processor and has a HD camera. Interchangeable battery keeps you on the move with a single snap. And, compared to the Google Glass price tag of $1500, dishing out $599 for these shades doesn’t seem that outrageous
